Welcome to Broom!
Here's everything you may need to know about your visit.
Please look over this before your arrival, if you have questions about your visit, most likely what you're looking for is here:

When entering Broom Fishery please follow the signs to reception, which is located within the tackle shop.

Reception: Open from 8am to 5pm daily
When you arrive, please check in at our reception area which is located within the tackle shop

Check-in
Arrival time for accommodation:
You will be able to enter your pod from 4 pm until 6 pm.
Please note for guests booking in for accommodation who are fishing, you can arrive from 8am to start fishing, your accommodation will be available from 4pm







Check-Out
Time: 10am
Return all keys to the reception
Leave it in the same condition as you found it
Any excessive cleaning or damages may result in additional charges
If you have experienced a problem during your stay please contact our staff prior to departure, we are only too happy to help

COOKING FACILITIES:
Your pod, has a kettle, heater and phone charger socket
You can, however, bring any of the cooking equipment you require for outdoor cooking only as cooking within the pods is deemed a fire risk.

Smoking & Vaping:
Smoking or Vaping is not allowed in any inside areas
Please ensure if you are smoking outside that you extinguish your cigarette and dispose of the butt in the rubbish once safe to do so.


TOILET AND SHOWER FACILITIES:
You will be provided with a key to enter the shower room facilities,
Please make sure you lock the door when using the shower room and re-lock it once leaving.

RUBBISH:
We prefer that you take your rubbish with you to not affect our ecosystem.
If you are not able to do so, please bag all rubbish up and drop it at reception before your departure.
Please DO NOT leave rubbish bags outside accommodation to protect our wildlife

Fire safety
In case of fire, please follow the fire escape procedure & plan located inside your accommodation

ENTERING AND EXITING HOURS:
As we are a fishery and not only providing accommodation the main entrance gate will be open between the hours of
April to Oct 8 am - 8 pm
Nov to Mar 8am - 5pm
If you decide to exit outside those times, please keep the gate closed at all times after using it due to our required bio-security measures.

PARKING:
Parking is located close to your pod and further details will be given to you on arrival to check in.

QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours are between 11pm and 8am
No driving about the site during quiet hours


PETS
We welcome well-behaved dogs a maximum of two
Guest Responsibility: You are responsible for any damage caused by your pet to the accommodation or property. Any associated costs will be charged to your account.
Safety: Do Not leave your pet unattended in the accommodation.
Breed Restrictions: As we are a very natural site we do restrict dog breeds to domestic pets. We also expect all pets to be non-aggressive, on a lead and under control at all times.
Pet Fee: A non-refundable pet fee of £10 per pet per stay is applicable. This fee covers additional cleaning and maintenance costs.
Pet Noise: Ensure that your pet does not create excessive noise, which may disturb other guests.
Pet Waste: Clean up after your pet immediately. Dispose of waste in designated pet waste bins, or ask at reception.
Pet Exercise: Please stay on the paths, follow signs to beach to ensure your pet gets the exercise they need.

By bringing your pet to us, you agree to abide by this Pet Policy. We reserve the right to charge additional fees or ask guests to vacate the property if policy violations occur. Please inform us in advance if you plan to bring a pet, so we can ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay for both you and your furry friend


BROOM FISHERY
Please remember that you will be staying in an active fishery which has lots of anglers on site. Please be mindful of others and try to keep the noise to a minimum, please keep your dogs on a lead at times when walking around and we ask that children always remain close. The most important thing is to enjoy the natural beauty of Broom!



NATURAL VENUE
No Swimming at any time in the fishing ponds for both dogs and humans
When visiting a natural venue, it's essential to be respectful of the environment and fellow visitors.
Here are some basic rules to follow:
Leave No Trace: Follow the Leave No Trace principles, which include no littering and if you do find some litter, pick it up and deal with it, stay on designated trails, and not disturb wildlife or plants.
Stay on Trails: Stick to established paths and trails to avoid damaging fragile ecosystems.
Respect Wildlife: Keep a safe distance from animals, never feed them, and observe quietly without causing disturbance.
Minimise Noise: Keep noise levels to a minimum to preserve the tranquillity of the natural area.
Camp Responsibly: If camping is allowed, use designated campsites and follow all camping regulations.
Fire Safety: Observe fire regulations and only use designated fire pits or stoves where permitted.
Leave Natural and Cultural Features: Don't pick plants, carve on trees, or disturb historical or cultural sites.
Pack It In, Pack It Out: Bring all your rubbish, including food scraps and litter, as we don’t want to upset our own ecosystem.
Respect Others: Be considerate of fellow visitors, yielding the trail and maintaining a positive attitude.

Fishing is not included in your accommodation package, however day tickets to fish can be purchased daily from our on site tackle shop.

Neighborhood overview
When entering follow the signs for Broom Fishery and park outside of the tackle shop. You are more than welcome to arrive at any time and receive your check-in instructions. You will be able to enter your pod from 2 pm until 5 pm.
